ZenzTherapy centres on four organic Nordic plants that have also been designated “superfoods“. The “superfood” designation is applied to plants that have a positive effect on the body. The plants on which these haircare products are based on are rosehip, amaranth, sea buckthorn and chamomile.

Rosehip oil

has long been considered one of the best plant oils for both skin and hair. It contains, for instance, high levels of various
antioxidants, essential fatty acids, omega 3, 6 and 9, and vitamin A. The high level of fatty acids means that the oil rapidly penetrates the outer layer of the hair, making it an excellent moisture regulator.

Amaranth

is an excellent source
of essential fatty acids and the
amino acid lysine, making it an
ideal ingredient for cosmetic applications. The seeds of the plant are prized by the haircare and cosmetics industry for also being a rich source of protein, vitamins and minerals.

Sea buckthorn

The nutrient content of sea buckthorn is of course its main attraction, as the berries are packed with antioxidants, amino acids and various vitamins, including vitamins A, B, C and E. The berries also contain omega 3, 6, 7 and 9 fatty acids, which have a beneficial effect on both hair and scalp.

Chamomile

Most people are familiar with
chamomile from drinking herbal
chamomile tea, usually when
a little snuffly, having caught a
cold. Chamomile has also been
used for centuries as a mild and
gentle disinfectant and it has a
soothing and calming effect on
irritated skin.
